This waterfall is only accessible with an expert guide. The guides have to help you cross the river, set up ropes, navigate through the canyons and reach the waterfall safely.

Do I need to know how to swim to do La Leona Waterfall?

Even though we have to go through some ponds in order to get to the waterfall, not knowing how to swim won’t be a problem. We have life jackets available for anyone who requests one.

How long is the La Leona waterfall hike?

The  La Leona Waterfall hike is 3h: 30 min long in total. This is the average time round trip, from start to finish. Distance: 2.5 km each way (1.55 miles each way)

Do you provide transportation for La Leona Waterfall?

Yes we do. We have different options available for transportation.

Do I have to make a reservation to visit La Leona Waterfall?

Yes,  you have to make a reservation. We recommend you let us know in advance you’re coming. If you show up to our location and we don’t have guides available you will have to wait between 2hrs up to 4hrs. If you reserve it, you start exactly at the time you reserved the tour.

What is the minimum/ maximum  age to do the hike?

  • 4 years old 
  • 75 years old

Do you need a guide for La Leona Waterfall?

Yes you do. This waterfall is only accessible by hiring a guide. The waterfall is not easy to get to or to find. Along the way you have to go across rivers, caves and even swim in the water in order to find La Leona Waterfall. You’ll always have at least one or more guides with you at all times during the hike.
